This old roller top desk was given to me. The roller top is missing, but turned out great anyway. I wanted to paint this desk a unique color. I was at Home Depot just looking and found this gallon of green in the sale bin, so I thought why not a green desk. I sanded it down, repainted the green that I got and after paint was fully dry I applied about 4 coats of the water based polyurethane to give it this shiny gloss. The knops that were on the desk was small and kind of dirty, so instead of refurbishing the knobs I decided to find something unique to the desk. I found these antique brass ones at Home Depot to use. The desk also had a thin white particle board as a backing so I decided to cover it in a fabric unique to the old style desk.
